No matter how cold it gets,
there is always heat in the outside air. Heat always transfers from hot
to cold. So, in the heating mode, a liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from
the air circulating outside and carries it through copper tubes to your
indoor fan coil, where it is released into your home. In the summer,
the cycle is reversed.
